Bolton Wanderers have just confirmed the news that broke late last night (or very early this morning, depending on how you look at it). The Trotters have officially completed the signing of Brazilian attacking midfielder Andre Moritz on a free transfer. Moritz was originally signed by Dougie Freedman at Crystal Palace on a one year deal which expired just last month. The playmaker could not be guaranteed playing time in the Premier League with Palace and went searching for pastures new.
Moritz, a midfielder to fit the number 10 role that Wanderers were missing, had previously played in Brazil and Turkey before moving to England. He is known for his set piece ability (scoring from two free kick against Wolverhampton Wanderers last season) as well as his penchant for the through ball.
The dealings between Moritz and Bolton lasted all of three weeks with Dougie Freedman tabling an offer for the midfielder that at first looked like it would be rejected with the player looking at other options. Moritz has been handed a one year deal by the Trotters.
