"Highlights" of Nottingham Forest 3-0 Bolton Wanderers

Laurence Griffiths

If you happen to be coaching a group of U8 players and want to teach them how not to defend, just sit them down in front of this minute-long clip of Nottingham Forest's comfortable win against Bolton Wanderers. If you didn't happen to travel to the City Ground this weekend and want to see what all the fuss was about, these are the highlights for you.

It was the worst possible start for Bolton Wanderers as a Zat Knight giveaway to Radoslaw Majewski at the back led directly to a failed offside trap and Jamie Mackie getting in behind the defense, completely unmarked. Adam Bogdan attempted to take Mackie one-on-one but the Forest man finished well, finding the side netting at the far post from an acute angle. That happened on the two minute mark and Wanderers never recovered.

In the second half, Nottingham Forest doubled their advantage, this time with an unmarked Majewski flying down the right flank and crossing into an unmarked Andy Reid at the far post. Reid, who always seems to do well against Bolton, handled the ball superbly and finished on the half-volley past Bogdan.

Following Darren Pratley's second yellow card and sending off, Forest would add a third through Henri Lansbury. The former Arsenal man beat his mark in Jay Spearing and finished well with an unmarked (notice the trend) diving header at the back post.
