Another early match in the 2013/14 Championship season and another occasion that Bolton Wanderers walked out without three points. The start to the campaign has been frustrating at best with the strikers not chipping in with their share of the duties and thus leaving the Trotters to be inept on the attack.
Against Queens Park Rangers, it was exactly that which sunk Wanderers. Two glorious Bolton chances went begging thanks to some awful finishing before Andy Johnson scored the game winner at the other end. A nice bit of quick play between Clint Hill and Charlie Austin set up opportunity and allowed a low cross from the former to the feet of an onrushing Andy Johnson. Bolton had their chances, specifically through Medo in the first half and Craig Davies in the second, but did not take them at all. These are the highlights from the match:
