Bolton Wanderers went out and did exactly what they should have with a comfortable win away at Greenhous Meadow in the first round of the Capital One Cup. Dougie Freedman's starting lineup featured a mix of new and old with exciting youngsters Rob Hall and Sanmi Odelusi handed the start by the manager. Both players came good on their chance. If you weren't one of the 640 Bolton fans at Shrewsbury Town, these are the highlights for you.

The first goal came on the 26 minute mark with Rob Hall breaking the deadlock. The exciting winger cut in from the right flank and with his left put, put in a low, curling effort that left Shrewsbury goalkeper, Chris Weale, without much of a chance. Town would equalize a few minutes later through Aaron Wildig who beat a Bolton offside trap (with ease) to get completely free in acres of space. His close-range finish leveled matters once more.

Wanderers would take the lead through Sanmi Odelusi thanks to a cross from Rob Hall that saw two Bolton lunge for it at the far post. Odelusi got the final touch and the goal. The young winger would then add a second goal, this time with David Ngog providing. Ngog broke through the center of the park with a blistering run before laying it off to Odelusi on the edge of the area with the winger firing home with a spectacular finish.
