Jay Spearing coming home? Player having medical after Wanderers agree fee for Liverpool man

Just a few minutes ago, out of absolutely nowhere, Bolton Wanderers announced via their official twitter account that fan favourite and last year's Player of the Season Jay Spearing will undergo a medical this afternoon, after the clubs agreed a fee.

Spearing was a key member of Dougie Freedman's midfield last season, making a total of 39 appearances, scoring twice. Wanderers fans had been clamoring for the player's signing ever since his departure at the tail end of last season. The news comes as an added boost following Stu Holden's latest injury, one that will keep him out for anywhere between six to nine months.

No news on the fee as yet, but Bolton Wanderers fans across the globe are rejoicing at the news. More as and when we get it.
