After the comfortable win away on Tuesday night at Shrewsbury Town's Greenhous Meadow, the next order of business for Bolton Wanderers' ambitions of a cup run was to find out what the next round held in store. The second round draw has been completed and the men in white will face League One's Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park.
The second round was the point in which Wanderers entered the Capital One Cup last year and the point in which they exited with a disappointing loss to Crawley Town. Bolton are of course coming off a very nice win at Shrewsbury Town earlier this week with Sanmi Odelusi and Rob Hall scoring all three of Bolton's goals in a 3-1 win.
The opponents, Tranmere, are coming off a 2-0 win at home against Mansfield Town in the first round. Their goals came from Andy Robinson and Chris Atkinson. The two sides last faced off in August 2009 in the same competition, in the same round, and at the same place. Wanderers were 1-0 winners on the day with a goal from Mark Davies.
