Report: Keith Andrews set for Brighton loan

Tom Shaw

A week ago, Dougie Freedman signed Andre Moritz and loaned out Marvin Sordell in one fell swoop. The pair of moves was an introduction to the manager's one in, one out policy in order to bring new blood into the club while levelling the costs. With Bolton Wanderers having officially signed Jay Spearing permanently, it seems that Freedman has been forced to once again balance the books. One man has come in and one is now set to go out with the Bolton News reporting that Keith Andrews is set to go on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Andrews, who was brought in by Owen Coyle ahead of the 2012/13 season, is one of the highest earners at Bolton Wanderers and getting his wages off the books looks crucial for Freedman. The experienced central midfielder missed a fair portion of last season with thigh and Achilles problems and subsequently lost his spot in the selection with the performances of Medo Kamara, Jay Spearing, Darren Pratley, and Josh Vela all putting nails in his coffin. Now, with the official signing of Jay Spearing, Andrews looks the odd man out.

Per the Bolton News, Andrews looks set for a year-long loan at the Amex.
