Seven games have been completed with some 630 minutes played and Bolton Wanderers do not yet have a win on their books nor do they have a goal from any of the strikers. Tuesday night's matchup against Derby County was always going to be a tough test with the Rams the only unbeaten team away in the Championship. They continued that record with the 2-2 draw at the Reebok but more importantly, Bolton Wanderers halted their losing run.
The Trotters took the lead in a match for only the second time this season (the first being the Reading draw in the second match of the campaign) through Alex Baptiste but saw that lead last all of two minutes as Johnny Russell equalized very early on. The visitors then took the lead with Russell the scorer again, holding onto it until just about the stroke of half time before Chris Eagles popped up. The winger opened his account for the season with a rasping long-range drive that bounced in front of goalkeeper Lee Grant before settling in the back of the net. The score would hold at 2-2 for the rest of the match.
