It's been tumbleweeds and a whole lot of nothing for Bolton Wanderers fans on deadline day with little to talk about and even less actually happening. Now, with two hours to go at the time of writing, it seems that the Whites are actually kicking with the Bolton News reporting that the club are trying to get a pair of late deals done with Michael Kightly and Peter Ramage the subjects of the Trotters' interest.
Ramage, a 29-year-old defender for Crystal Palace, has had his name kicked about all day by clubs not called Bolton Wanderers. The versatile defender can play across the back four but has most recently been playing as a right back for the Eagles. It was Dougie Freedman who signed him for Palace in August 2012 with the player going on to make 44 appearances for the club in all competitions since. He has been on the outside looking in this season for Crystal Palace with his only appearance coming in the club's Capital One Cup loss at Bristol City.
Michael Kightly is a 27-year-old winger who moved from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Stoke City following Wolves' relegation to the Championship after the 2011/12 season. He has not yet played a match for Stoke City this season and appeared only 26 times across all competitions for the Potters last season season after falling out of favor with then-manager Tony Pulis. In Wolves' relegation season, Kightly spent a lot of time injured with knee troubles the main culprit.
According to the Bolton News, both moves are loan deals but length and details have not been divulged.
