It appears that Bolton Wanderers' signing of Neil Danns has opened the proverbial floodgates for Dougie Freedman's side with not one but two potential new signings incoming for the Trotters. According to a report out from Millwall site, News at Den, Liam Feeney, the first of the signings will provide additional midfield cover on the flanks for the men in white, adding to the winger corps of Chris Eagles, Rob Hall, Chung-Yong Lee, and Sanmi Odelusi.
Feeney, a 26-year-old winger, is struggling to break into Steve Lomas' millwall team behind a number of other wingers that include Lee Martin and Martyn Woolford. As a result, the winger has only made three appearances for the Lions this season, starting in the Capital One Cup loss to Nottingham Forest and appearing as a substitute in two league matches.
The winger moved to Millwall in 2011 from Bournemouth in a £200,000 move and made 38 appearances in the League and Cup in his first season. Since then, he has struggled to hold down a place, making a combined 29 appearances in all competitions for all of last year and this current one.
No one expects Feeney to start for Bolton Wanderers with Chris Eagles and Chungy the two favorites at the moment and Rob Hall staking his claim for a spot but with a congested schedule and an international break coming up quickly, he may provide the depth Bolton need.
Per the News at Den report, Millwall are able to recall the player after 28 days.
