So we're sort of halfway through January, and as yet the in/out at Bolton Wanderers has been a little quiet.
We've had a couple of rumours lately - the link with Romanian left back Stefan Popescu yesterday (written about here), but today has brought in two reasonable bits of supposed news.
Troubled full back Tyrone Mears is believed to be close to ending his time at the club by making a loan move to near-neighbours Blackpool, having turned down a similar move to Millwall back in September.
Mears joined Bolton from Burnley in a £3m joint deal with Chris Eagles, and whilst Eagles has never struggled for first team football at the club, Mears has made 27 appearances in three seasons. Struck by injury upon his arrival, and since cursed with manager Dougie Freedman's ill-favour which has left him training with the Development Squad since the summer.
Mears' contract expires at the end of this current season and any deal to Blackpool would no doubt include a clause to make the move permanent.
Second rumour of the day surrounds French youngster Jeremy Kor. The 19-year-old arrived at Le Havre from Evreux AC last summer but has so far failed to make a senior appearance for the side.
According to French Football paper L'Equipe he could soon be making his way to Bolton.
Final rumour of the day sees young striker Conor Wilkinson linked with a loan move to struggling Northampton. Wilkinson signed for £80,000 from Millwall this summer and has been impressing in the reserves.
We await further news on these deals with baited breath.
