Transfer Gossip: Ngog to Evian?

Tittle-tattle

Trying to think of Evian-based puns.

Struggling.

Anyway, paper reports have this afternoon linked Bolton Wanderers' French striker David Ngog with a return to France with Evian, or to give them their full title and use up some of the required wordcount Évian Thonon Gaillard Football Club.

Ngog is also on Premier League wages of over £30,000-a-week at the Reebok and moving him out would give boss Dougie Freedman funds.

Evian made the French Cup final last season and their backers are always in the market for 'name' players.

Ngog joined Bolton from Liverpool in August 2011 for a £4m fee, signing a reported £30,000 per week contract, which expires this summer.

His stay in Lancashire has been nothing short of disastrous, with a return of just 16 goals in 91 games.
