The BEN has reported tonight that new WBA manager Pepe Mel is considering loaning Craig Dawson out for the second half of the season.
Mel is reported to have said:
All of the clubs in the Championship want Craig Dawson,"
"He's an excellent centre-back, he's a young player and he has a big future for us.
"It's something we need to talk about with Craig. The advantage of the system in England is that you can loan him out for one month and he can have game time.
During Rochdale-born Dawson's three month stay last season, Dougie Freedman's side won 10, drew three and lost only three - missing out on the play-offs following a final day draw with local rivals Blackpool.
Pepe Mel took over from Scottish manager Steve Clarke earlier in January, and has yet to use Dawson in the first team at the Hawthorns.
The signing of Dawson, if it materialises, would bring much-needed boost to the side and the supporters who have clamoured for his return since May.
