Sky have tonight reported that one-time Bolton Wanderers loanee and permanent transfer target Craig Dawson is on the brink of leaving West Brom to move to near neighbours Wigan Athletic.
It is thought that Wigan and Bolton are just two of a number of Championship sides keen to take the former Rochdale captain on loan until the end of the season.
Dawson has made just one Premier League appearance for West Brom this season, and has been reported in the BEN as allegedly favouring a move to the Reebok where he enjoyed a successful loan spell at the end of the 2012/13 season.
However, it is being reported tonight that rivals Wigan are believed to be leading the chase with Uwe Rosler keen to replace Spanish central defender Ivan Ramis who is believed to be on the brink of joining Crystal Palace having previously rejected a transfer to Cardiff.
