Fraser In, Eaves Out

Transfer News Ahoy!

In a busy day at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton Wanderers have cancelled the loan of young Scottish midfielder Gary Fraser at Partick Thistle, whilst extending the loan of forward Tom Eaves at Shrewsbury Town.

Fraser made just four appearances for Thistle, and was memorably involved in controversy back in October 2013 following an altercation during an U20 match against Dunfermline.

His attack on an opponent was rumoured to have landed him a year-long ban from the game although such fears proved unfounded, instead receiving a nine-game ban which no doubt prompted his early return to Bolton.

Tom Eaves joined Bolton Wanderers on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee on 12 August 2010.

He has made just three appearances for the first team without scoring, and has spent much of his Bolton career out on loan at Bristol Rovers, Rotherham United and Shrewsbury Town, twice. He has struggled for form in his second spell at the club, scoring just once in nine games.

It is expected that Fraser will return to the Development Squad at Bolton, and we will keep an eye on Eaves and his progress.
