Birmingham City v Bolton Wanderers: Updated Lineup

It's Neil Lennon's first match! It's Neil Lennon's first team! It's excitement all around, but will the former Celtic manager keep the good feelings going down in Birmingham, where good feelings go to die?

Birmingham City v Bolton Wanderers

18 October, 2014

Bolton Wanderers have made the trip to St. Andrews for Neil Lennon's first match in charge with a great deal of positivity and optimism within the supporters.  Lennon has said and done all the right things thus far, but this morning he had to name his first team.  Now the rubber hits the road.

Randolph

Caddis Edgar Robinson Grounds

Davis Gleeson Arthur Gray Cotterill

Donaldson

Subs: Doyle, Eardley, Hall, Reilly, Novak, Thomas, Johnstone

Andy Lonergan

Kevin McNaughton Matt Mills Dorian Dervite Dean Moxey

Liam Feeney Darren Pratley Jay Spearing Neil Danns Chung-Yong Lee

Jermaine Beckford

Subs: Paddy Kenny, Tim Ream, Joe Mason, Rob Hall, Max Clayton, Josh Vela, Craig Davies

Personally, I don't find this team to reach extremes in either direction.  It's not the side I would have named, but it's not bad.I will say, if Dougie Freedman had named this exact team in this exact formation he would be getting slated from all sides right now.  Jermaine Beckford, Darren Pratley, and especially Dean Moxey are probably the least popular players at the club right now.

What do you think of Lennon's first starting XI?
