The Neil Lennon era is still shiny and new right now, and most Bolton Wanderers supporters are in good spirits ahead of tonight's trip to London. The big question we face right now is a classic; Will Neil Lennon change a winning team?
We know Dougie Freedman would have changed a winning team. Owen Coyle would have had to make three forced changes (It's really amazing how many injuries were suffered under Coyle). Gary Megson would never have changed it, even if two guys had to play on crutches. But that is all in the past. Here is Lennon's starting XI from Saturday:
Kevin McNaughton Matt Mills Dorian Dervite Dean Moxey
Liam Feeney Darren Pratley Jay Spearing Neil Danns Chung-Yong Lee
Subs: Paddy Kenny, Tim Ream, Joe Mason, Rob Hall, Max Clayton, Josh Vela, Craig Davies
I'm not sure if things played out exactly as Lennon planned them at St. Andrews, but it was certainly a much better performance than we have been accustomed to this season. I think he could make a couple of adjustments though, winning team or not.
I don't know a single Bolton fan who wouldn't bring Tim Ream in for Dean Moxey. It will be a surprise if that doesn't happen. Craig Davies coming in for Beckford seems likely as well.
And the result? I expect a 1-1 draw, with Lee to score for Bolton. What do you think will happen?
