Newspaper reports have linked new Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon with a £1m raid on former club Celtic to bring in striker Anthony Stokes this January.
Republic of Ireland international Stokes, 26, was signed by Lennon for the Glasgow club in 2010 following a 22 goal season for Hibernian.
He has since gone on to score 55 goals in 121 games for the Hoops.
Lennon has gone on record since arriving at Bolton to discuss Wanderers lack of cutting-edge in front of goal, and if rumours be believed, he is looking to link Stokes with the club - possibly alongside fellow Celtic alumni Gary Hooper, currently picking splinters out of his arse on the bench at Norwich City.
Stokes signed a new three year deal with Celtic in January 2013 and so a fee would be required for his services. A £1m deal has been mooted in the press and we will watch this space with interest.
