It seems that Bolton Wanderers' left back Marc Tierney is a man straight out of luck.
Having suffered a broken ankle in a 1-1 home draw with Yeovil Town some 14 months ago, the former Norwich City man has, according the Bolton Evening News, had to undergo further ankle surgery in a bid to get back to somewhere near full health.
The Manchester-born defender has only made nine appearances for Wanderers since his signing by former boss Dougie Freedman, but current manager Neil Lennon has revealed that further complications with scar tissue around the ankle has led to the 29 year old having to have another operation.
I guess this means more time at left back for Tim Ream who performed admirably in the role during the 2013/14 season, but who had made a shaky start this time around.
Thankfully his form appears to be on the rise.
We all hope that Tierney makes a speedy recovery from this latest setback.
