Look, we're not getting sick of Eidur Gudjohnsen stories - especially when they concern the chances of him making a much-rumoured return to Bolton Wanderers.

However, the latest comments from Neil Lennon require reporting on.

If you have never seen the man play for Bolton Wanderers, and I know there is a large number of the new generation of Wanderers supporters who will not have had the privilege - well my brothers and sisters, it appears that salvation may well be at hand.

Speaking to the Bolton Evening News, Wanderers boss Neil Lennon said of the former Barcelona and Chelsea forward:

"We need to build it up towards 90 minutes

"I needed to see him in a different environment, 11 versus 11. Until you do that, you've no real idea how he'll fit in.

Lennon continued:

"But put it this way, he's done absolutely everything we've asked of him so far. We just needed to see him play football.

"He's certainly got the talent - that isn't in question - it's just the physical capacity and we haven't made that decision yet.

"What I will say is that everything he's been asked to do, he's done it comfortably."

So, if you have never seen Eidur Gudjohnsen line up for Bolton Wanderers, get yourselves down to the County Ground, Leyland on Monday 1st December for the reserves game against Middlesbrough.

You might just get sight of one of the best players ever to pull on the famous white shirt.

See you there. Buy me a drink.
