According to this report in the Bolton Evening News, Wanderers are hoping to keep Korean midfield sensation Lee Chung Yong at the club so that he may play in the upcoming FA Cup clash with local dickheads and relegation favourites Wigan Athletic.
The former FC Seoul winger-turned-attacking midfielder is due to leave Britain later in January for the Asia Cup, meaning that he will likely not be back until the Derby County home game on 7th February.
Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon has seen Crystal Palace agree to hold on to captain Mile Jedinak. Korea do not start their campaign until 10th January meaning that Chungy would be eligible for the Cup tie at home to Wigan.
Lennon said:
"He's due to fly out after the Huddersfield Town game but I'm going to have a little chat with him before then, see if we can keep him a little bit longer,"
He continued:
"I know Mile Jedinak has delayed going over to stay at Crystal Palace so we're hoping that can be the case with Chungy as well."
We wish him the best of luck in the tournament but hope that they get knocked out pronto.
