Bolton Wanderers' very own Father Christmas has delivered an early present to the millions....AND MILLIONS of Wanderers fans around the globe in the form of former Liverpool and England striker Emile Heskey who has officially signed on a short-term deal.

The club announced the deal on Twitter just moments ago:

The length of the contract has yet to be disclosed, but is rumoured to be until the end of January.

The move comes as no surprise given the lack of striker options at Lennon's disposal, and with Craig Davies' hamstrings seemingly made out of cheese Heskey is an inexpensive and vastly experienced option to bring in at this time to perform a similar role.

Wanderers become the seventh club of his career which began at Leicester City back in 1994, taking in spells at Liverpool, Birmingham City, Aston Villa, Wigan Athletic and most recently Newcastle Jets of the Australian A-League.

Heskey is also the proud bearer of 62 England caps.

Welcome Emile, to the greatest club in the world.
