Matt Mills Frustrated by Referee Decisions

You're not the only one...

In conversation with the Bolton Evening News, Wanderers captain Matt Mills has spoken of his disappointment caused by several contentious refereeing decisions that went against the club in their away loss to Huddersfield Town.

Referee Trevor Kettle infuriated Bolton Wanderers fans and players alike with some bizarre decisions, culminating in the incorrect offside call that denied new signing Emile Heskey a second Wanderers goal in two appearances since joining from Australian side Newcastle Jets.

Mills said:

"It's frustrating because I think we completely dominated the game,"

"I honestly don't know how we've lost it.

He then said:

"I have to be careful what I say - but I'm disappointed, put it that way. There was no suspicion of handball in the build up to their goal, it just was.

"There was a free kick on me, two on Neil Danns, and then the ball bobbled up, he handles it and then slips the striker in.

He concluded:

"It's almost comical how he hasn't spotted one of them.

"I'm just flat, I don't know what to say it's just so bad."

Let's hope that Mills can get over the disappointment in time for the next game at home to Wigan in the FA Cup on 3rd January.
