There are some similarities between this week's match versus and Reading FC and last week's encounter with Huddersfield Town. Once again Bolton Wanderers are playing a side there points ahead of them in the table. Once again, Wanderers are playing a side who have scored more goals and allowed more goals on the season. And once again Neil Lennon has excited the White's supporters prior to a match. But last week Lennon just mused on a possible return of Stu Holden at some point in the future. This week Eidur Gudjohnsen is in the match day squad.
I'm not sure Gudjohnsen will feature, unless Wanderers are desperate. I think his debut will come at home. Lennon is likely to stick with the same starting XI we have seen the last few weeks.
Andy Lonergan
Josh Vela Matt Mills Dorian Dervite Tim Ream
Liam Feeney Chung-Yong Lee Darren Pratley Neil Danns
Max Clayton Craig Davies
There are only a few change that could even be considered. Many would like to see Josh Vela replace Pratley in the midfield. But that would involve someone else coming in at fullback, and at the moment there is no someone else. Kevin McNaughton is still struggling with a hamstring injury. Joe Riley is still out on loan. Hayden White returned from his loan early, but only because he is injured. And Oscar Threlkeld does not appear to be ready for prime time.
Adam Bogdan is also fit again, but we probably have a few weeks until that becomes an issue, so we will jump off that bridge when we come to it. I have given my starting XI, what is yours?
