Match Preview: Reading v Bolton Wanderers

A slightly delayed match preview looks at a game which we would all rather forget from last season

It's a fair assessment to make to say that the corresponding fixture last season, was a very forgettable but regrettably unforgettable time for all associated with the club. A revitalised team under new boss Neil Lennon, we will not see a repeat of the embarrassment.

The two club's twitter accounts have been exchanging in similar banter as they did in the fateful days leading up to 18th January earlier this calendar year, bring back all too familiar aspects, omens which the Bolton fans do not want to be against them.

In terms of our team, we obviously have new/old blood coming into  the squad, providing he gets international clearance, Eidur Gudjohnson will make his Wanderers second debt. A player that has the potential to be a more than an adequate replacement when Chungy goes to the Asia Adam Bogdan has been eagerly awaiting a return to the starting 11 but a superb Andy Lonergan has prevented this return, and looks set to do so again after  another amazing performance again Huddersfield. There are no new injury concerns other than the long list of long term absentees, so the team will be largely unchanged, if unchanged at all.

In terms of our opposition, Reading have been faltering for a squad of their standard, a mediocre 14th place so far means a victory for the whites would take them level on points with the royals. They have been conceding stupid goals for fun, but are much stronger at their home ground, and with our away form being as poor as it is, I cant see past a draw , at least it isn't as bad as last season though.
