Owen Garvan. What a player. Truly we were fortunate to have him.
He came into our lives on 10th September when his best mate Dougie Freeman signed him on loan from Crystal Palace for Bolton Wanderers, struggling in the Championship.
Garvan joined Bolton Wanderers on a three-month loan deal, making his full debut in a goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday at the Macron Stadium just three days later.
He stunned the home crowd with a wonderful range of passing and a truly athletic approach to the game. When you think of the modern and dynamic central midfielders of our time you think of the likes of Xavi Hernandez, Luka Modric, Frank Lampard and, of course, Owen Garvan.
We've had a raft of excellent and first-class midfielders at our club, and the 26-year-old Dublin-born Garvan can absolutely be added to that list.
Therefore, upon his return to Palace, we've compiled a list of his greatest moments in the following timeline:
* 10th September - joined on loan
* 13th September - made his debut
* 8th December - went back
Seriously.
He'll go down amongst the most pointless signings of our club's history, the shitehawk.
