Josh Vela Plays Full Game vs Man City Reserves

Good news at last for Bolton fans

Charlie Crowhurst

Bolton Wanderers fans will no doubt be pleased to learn that 20 year old midfielder Josh Vela tonight played a full 90 minutes for the club's reserve team in a battle to regain his fitness ahead of the crucial final stretch of the Championship season.

A product of the Bolton Wanderers Academy, the Salford-born midfielder has only made two appearances this season, which had disappointed many who see him as one of the big hopes for the club's future.

Current manager Dougie Freedman is always banging on about how he's a manager who trusts and has faith in young players - though his actions so far do not back up this belief.

I digress.

Vela was the senior member of the squad who faced Manchester City at Hyde's Ewen Fields. A strong City side proved too much for Bolton Wanderers, who suffered a 4-0 thumping.
