Sky Sports have reported today that Wolves have enquired about taking Bolton Wanderers' out-of-favour winger Rob Hall on loan for the rest of the season. It is not known yet whether manager Dougie Freedman will agree to the switch which will undoubtedly offer the youngster regular first team football. Trouble being that it's at Wolves, who aren't a proper club.
Hall, who joined Bolton on a permanent deal in the summer following a less than successful loan spell that season, has found it hard to get into the first team for a variety of reasons, and this has led to much speculation as to his future.
The transfer tribunal, who decided Hall's fee when he left West Ham, set onerously high payments to the Premier League club upon each appearance for Bolton - reportedly as high as £20,000 - and given the club's troubled financial state it is perhaps no surprise that conspiracy theorists believe that this is linked to his lack of game-time.
20 year old Hall began his professional career at West Ham in 2010, and has spent time out on loan at clubs such as Oxford United, MK Dons and Birmingham City. He has, to date, made just 14 appearances since joining Bolton.
