Three Wanderers players were called up to their respective national squads for this week's international friendlies. Adam Bogdan was called up to the Hungarian squad, Chung-Yong Lee for the South Korean squad and Tim Ream for the American squad.
Bogdan played the full 90 minutes in Hungary's 2-1 loss to Finland. Although his side went into half time with the lead, he was unable to prevent the Fins from scoring twice and prevailing. The loss also added insult to injury as he was booked in the 40th minute of the game. This leaves him travelling back to the UK with one of the more forgettable caps that he will have, along with the devastating 8-1 loss to the Netherlands.
Chung-Yong Lee had a more pleasant international fixture as he helped South Korea beat Greece 2-0. He also managed to pull through the full 90 minutes but got cautioned in the 81st minute for what the referee viewed as a cynical foul. This was Chungy's 53rd cap for South Korea, for which he has scored on six occasions.
Tim Ream withdrew from the USA squad for their match against Ukraine. There are no injury worries concerning this withdrawal as it seems to be for the birth of his son.
