The gossip circulating in the twittersphere this morning is that Bolton Wanderers' kit and sportswear deal with Adidas will come to an end this season, to be replaced by the Italian sporting apparel company Macron, and is apparently set to be announced this week.
While I'm sure this news, if true, will come as a devastating blow to some Bolton fans, who enjoy the fact our kits are made by a renowned manufacturer, but personally, I'd welcome the change with open arms.
I'm bored of our kits just being one out of a couple of boring templates, that every team under Adidas that isn't a big club has, and whilst my favourite Bolton kit in some time was last years blue and black away strip, I would love to see Macron bring some variation to the club.
Macron them selves have a very mixed bag of kits, they've got some really lovely ones like Napoli, AZ Alkmaar, Real Betis and AS Monaco.
They've got some simple ones like: SS Lazio, Millwall and Braga.
They've got some real strange ones with Aston Villa's away kit, Leeds United's home kit and Boavista FC's home kit. And Then they've got the straight up ugly, with AC Ajaccio's third strip.
The important thing with all these jerseys though, is that they show Macron aren't afraid to mix it up and make some interesting shirts.
Lets just hope we get the right end of the stick!
