In a surprise transfer move, Bolton Wanderers' midfielder Chris Eagles has been allowed the opportunity to leave the club on loan, according to manager Dougie Freedman.
Speaking to the BEN, Freedman said:
"There was a Charlton phone call and we said to him he could go and speak with them and play some football, which he didn't take up,"
"Then we had a call from Ipswich, but Chris felt the location wasn't right for him.
"I can't guarantee him football right now so I thought it right to give him the chance, but he didn't take it."
Eagles has been out of favour and form this season despite a strong 2012/13 season in which he was club top goalscorer. Indeed he hasn't featured for the Whites since mid-February with the official excuse being that he has an eye infection, but clearly that's all a load of old bollocks.
Eagles is out of contract at the end of the season.
