First Round of Pre-Season Games Announced

Football is over, so when does the football start again?

Jan Kruger

Bolton Wanderers have today announced the first raft of pre-season fixtures ahead of the 2014/15 Championship campaign a matter of two weeks since the previous season ended.

Matches have been booked in away to against Macclesfield Town, Rochdale, Trampmere Rovers and Port Vale.

Rumours abound of an overseas game in Sweden against Malmo though no confirmation of this has arrived from the club at this time.

There has often been a prestigious final home friendly before the league season starts - recent opponents being Barcelona B and Real Betis - there is a free week before the league campaign begins and I would expect this to happen again.

Friday July 18 : Macclesfield Town (A)

Tuesday July 22 : Rochdale (A)

Friday July 25 : Trampmere Rovers (A)

Wednesday July 30 : Port Vale (A)

Wanderers have faced all four clubs before:
