Bolton Wanderers have this morning announced that out of contract players Zat Knight, Chris Eagles, Tyrone Mears and Jay Lynch will officially leave the club when their contracts expire this summer.

Centre half Knight, signed for £4m unbelievably, leaves the club having made a remarkable 191 appearances for the club, scoring four goals. He joined the club from Aston Villa back in 2009.

Former Burnley and Manchester United winger Chris Eagles scored 19 goals in 106 games though hasn't featured since falling out with manager Dougie Freedman in February, whilst right back Mears has left following just 32 appearances in three years.

Academy graduate and local lad Jay Lynch was often a substitute to Adam Bogdan and Andy Lonergan during their respective injuries this season, though he failed to make a senior appearance for the club.

Wanderers also announced that renewal talks are taking place between the club and the remaining out of contract players including American Stuart Holden, Brazilian lightweight Andre Moritz and reserve keeper Arran Lee-Barrett.
