Elliot's World Cup Predictions

Elliot gives us his predictions for the forthcoming World Cup in Brazil. Forget Paul the predicting octopus, he's got nothing on Elliot's predictions...

Jamie Squire

Winners - Brazil

Second Place - Spain

Semi Finalists - Germany, Argentina

Golden Ball Winner - Lionel Messi (Argentina)

Top Goal Scorer - Luis Suarez (Uruguay)

Golden Glove Winner - Iker Casillas (Spain)

Best Young player - Paul Pogba (France)

Teams Who Might Surprise Us - Belgium, Chile, Costa Rica

Fifa Fair Play Trophy - Switzerland

Where Will England Finish? - 3rd in group D. As optimistic as I would love to be I can't envisage England beating either Uruguay or Italy. Despite this, the nation's expectations are low, which could help us, and I like the look of our newly formed squad. It has a bit of youth in it and a bit of experience, with only 6 players surviving from Fabio Capello's squad from 2010.

England's Top Goal Scorer -Daniel Sturridge

Bonus Ball - Selfies, lots and lots of Brazilian selfies.

If you agree/ disagree with any of my predictions please feel free to leave a comment, or if you are feeling adventurous, drop me a tweet telling me what you think.

Hopefully Roy Hodgson's squad can be the surprise package in Brazil and give the nation something to celebrate. Let's face it, after another disappointing season, the long suffering Wanderers fans deserve something to cheer about.
