World Cup Predictions - It's All About Heart

Making predictions is a tricky affair when one's head and heart are at odds. To fix that Jonas Soller's has split the task into two runs at predicting the World Cup. Today's predictions have been completed by ignoring sense, logic, and anything rational. Today's picks are all about heart.

Yesterday, I let my head do all the work in attempting to predict the various outcomes of the 2014 World Cup. Today, it’s my heart’s turn. Today’s predictions will be swayed by things like Luka Modric’s new haircut, my enjoyment of dolmades, my dislike of Luis Suarez, and the country of origin of my best friend in 5th grade. There will likely be little sense behind these picks, but there would be few happier people on the planet if everything worked out like the following.

So, without further ado, here are my Heart predictions for the World Cup.

Heart Bracket:

Group A: Brazil, Cameroon, Mexico, Croatia

Group B: Netherlands, Spain, Australia, Chile

Group C: Japan, Greece, Colombia, Ivory Coast

Group D: Costa Rica, England, Italy, Uruguay

Group E: Honduras, Ecuador, Switzerland, France

Group F: Bosnia & Herzegovina, Argentina, Nigeria, Iran

Group G: USA, Germany, Portugal, Ghana

Group H: South Korea, Belgium, Algeria, Russia

Semi-Finals: Japan, Netherlands, South Korea, United States

Finals: South Korea, United States

Champion: South Korea

Golden Ball Winner: Keisuke Honda (Japan)

Top Goal Scorer: Jozy Altidore (USA)

Golden Gloves: Thibaut Courtois (Belgium)

Bonus Ball: By the end of the World Cup Mix Diskerud’s Hair (@diskerudshair) following will be up ten-fold and be pushing 5000 followers. The world will be 100 times better because Mix’s flowing locks will help us forget about the hatchet job that recently happened to Luka Modric’s hair.

So, how many crushed dreams are in my future? If you have an idea, just let me know in the comments section below.
