The first round draw for the 2014/15 Capital One Cup will be announced at 10am on Tuesday 17th June and Bolton Wanderers have been seeded. The draw splits the nation in half, ensuring that the first round will be a local affair. The first round is exclusively for teams who partake in the Football League, so consequently here's who the Wanderers could meet in the opening round.

Accrington - League 2 (15)
Burton - League 2 (6)
Bury - League 2 (12)
Carlisle - League 1 (22)
Chesterfield - League 2 (1)
Crewe - League 1 (19)
Fleetwood - League 2 (4)
Hartlepool - League 2 (19)
Mansfield - League 2 (11)
Morecambe - League 2 (18)
Notts County - League 1 (20)
Oldham - League 1 (15)
Rochdale - League 2 (3)
Scunthorpe - League 2 (2)
Tranmere - League 1 (21)
York City - League 2 (7)

The Trotters have a fairly poor record in this cup, with the Whites crashing out to 'weaker' teams over the past few seasons. Despite cruising past Shrewsbury town in the first round last season, the Wanderers went out on penalties to recently relegated Tranmere Rovers.

The season before wasn't much better either, after Nick Ajose's late strike secured a shock win for the League One side, sending Owen Coyle's side out with a whimper.

Judging the 16 non-seeded teams listed above, who would you like the Wanderers to face? A short trip across Lancashire to Gigg-Lane, or a trip to the Crown Ground to face James Beattie's Accrington Stanley? Either way, Bolton will be regarded as the favorites for their first round tie in this season's Capital One Cup.

The draw will be announced at 10am on Tuesday 17th June.
