Bolton Wanderers continued their summer recruitment plans today with the signature of Surrey-born goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons. Fitzsimons has completed his move from Crystal Palace to Bolton Wanderers, following the path forged by manager Dougie Freedman and his backroom staff who made the same move in October 2012.
He'll join the ranks of the club's goalkeepers - presumably to fill the gap left by the departing Academy graduate Jay Lynch who left the club this summer following a long association with Wanderers.
No news yet on the length of contract for the new lad, but he will surely provide competition for the Academy keepers including the likes of William Jaaskelainen and Erik Bukran, whilst providing backup to Adam Bogdan, Andy Lonergan and Arron Lee-Barrett in the first team.
Fitzsimons, born in May 1994, is a 20 year old graduate of Crystal Palace's academy side, and joins fellow summer signings Dorian Dervite from Charlton Athletic, Andy Robinson from Southampton, Neil Danns from Leicester City and the two Liams, Feeney and Trotter from Millwall.
