BREAKING NEWS:
A matter of weeks after joining, news has broken tonight that "new" summer signing Andy Robinson has left Bolton Wanderers with immediate effect.
Speaking to the Bolton Evening News following tonight's 1-1 draw with Macclesfield Town (Zac Clough with the goal), Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman said:
"We have agreed to terminate Andy's contract and he has returned south.
"He was homesick so it was the right thing for him."
A surprising move, I'm sure you'll all agree. Former Southampton academy graduate Robinson, 21, apparently can't be without his momma and has trotted back down to whence he came without bothering the Wanderers record-keepers with so much as a single minute on the field.
He joined the club on loan last season though again failed to make an appearance. His one-year with the club has now been terminated.
We wish Robinson all the best, we hardly knew ye. Kind of.
