Wanderers Reject Mainz Bid for Adam Bogdan!

No go for A-Bo!

Paul Thomas

Hot on the heels of the Jonathan Parr deal comes news from Sky Sports that Bolton Wanderers have rejected a big from Bundesliga hipsters Mainz for goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.

Bolton have made their position clear with this rejection of a bid rumoured to be in the region of £1m. Selling the 26 year old Hungarian keeper would leave us with just Andy Lonergan and new kid on the block Ross Fitzsimons on the books, and obviously this is not an ideal situation.

Boggers experienced a tough season between the sticks, suffering from poor form in the first half of the season before returning from injury after Christmas with some superb displays offering a glimpse of a bright future at the club for the lad.

Keepers mature later than outfielders, and despite Bogdan's perilous contract situation - just a year left - I would hope he will stay or at least we'll get a higher offer....

More news as we get it!
