Bolton Wanderers have this morning signed Crystal Palace academy defender Quade Taylor on a developmental contract.
Right back Taylor, born on 11th December 1993 in Tooting, has been at Palace for his entire career, and was sent out on loan last season to Welling United where he made nine appearances, scoring once, in a month-long spell at the Conference Premier side.
He of course joins fellow ex-Crystal Palace men Dougie Freedman, Dean Moxey, Curtis Fleming and Jamie Fullarton at Wanderers, though is expected to spend the majority of next season in the development squad under the tuition of Fullarton who has revolutionised the club's youth and academy systems since his arrival in October 2012 at the same time as Freedman.
It may well be some time before Taylor makes the leap to the senior side but we wish him luck and a warm welcome to the greatest club in the world.
Let's hope he has better luck in acclimatising than Andy Robinson.
