In the last few minutes, reports have landed on Twitter of Bolton Wanderers striker Craig Davies being spotted at the Sheffield United friendly game tonight ahead of a loan move tomorrow.
Davies, 28, has been out of favour at the Reebok Stadium for some time now, indeed he spent the last few months of the 2013/14 season on loan at Preston North End where he scored 5 goals in 15 games.
The journeyman striker, formerly of about ten thousand different clubs has been at the club since 2013, when he made a £300,000 move from Barnsley across the Pennines. His first season saw a disappointing return of just four goals in 14 appearances, and none in ten for the club last year.
Whilst undoubtedly possessing great physical strength, Davies often let himself down with his touch and his work in the build-up. The potential news of Joe Mason joining Bolton on loan seems to indicate that Davies might well be on his way, what with Bolton's notable financial troubles proving difficult to overcome.
One in, one out?
