Following a wholly disappointing stalemate at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, in which Wanderers managed just one shot on target and just six shots in total compared to the visitors' 24, the calls for Dougie Freedman's head are becoming deafening.

Next up is another opportunity for The Trotters to register their first win of the season as they host Championship new-boys Rotherham United, with the two sides going head-to-head for the first time in 21 years at 8pm tonight.

Andy Lonergan is set to continue between the sticks for Wanderers, with the news that Adam Bogdan faces up to two months out with a broken finger sustained in training on Friday. But outfield changes are the order of the day for Freedman, who inexplicably made six changes to the team that was unlucky to lose at Leeds United.

Surely Freedman has to draft Craig Davies, August's player of the month only to then be dropped for the Leeds game, back into the starting lineup and you'd hope the manager will see sense and move danger man Liam Feeney to his preferred right wing. I believe it is high time that Chung-Yong Lee, along with Dean Moxey who has had a woeful start to his Bolton career, was dropped.

My starting eleven, if I was in the dugout at the Macron Stadium tonight, would be as follows:

Lonergan

Threlkeld   Mills   Dervite   Ream

Feeney   Spearing   M Davies   Danns

Mason   C Davies
