Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon has (probably) been up all night working on his New Year transfer targets, and in the end has come back to what he knows in the shape of Kris Commons.
The Scottish Express has today reported that Wanderers and Lennon have lodged a £250,000 bid for the soon to be out-of-contract attacking midfielder in the hope of beating Premier League strugglers Leicester City and Crystal Palace to the signature of the former Derby County and Nottingham Forest man.
Scotland's player of the year has rejected the new one-year deal on offer at Parkhead, the 31-year-old is looking for what he sees as his last major contract and that is more than the one year on offer.
It is being reported that Lennon wants the player now so that he can play him in their FA Cup third round clash against Wigan on Saturday.
Neil, do your stuff.
