Celtic Boss: Kris Commons is NOT Leaving this January!

Wanderers set for disappointment in transfer hunt?

According to reports in Scotland earlier today, Celtic boss Ronny Deila has responded to Kris Commons' well-publicised actions yesterday by claiming that the Bolton Wanderers target will not be leaving Celtic Park in this January transfer window.

The Hoops midfielder threw his footwear into the crowd after yesterday's 2-0 win over Hamilton and appeared to indicate he had played his last game for the club. He even engaged in that daft 'patting the club crest' nonsense that players do when they want people to think that they're not actively looking for a move to another club when they clearly actually are.

In response to this, Deila confirmed that Commons is going nowhere:

"I think Kris needs to get some new boots.

"He has given me no indication that he wants to leave. He wants to stay. Negotiations will continue.

"I don't know if there's an offer from Bolton. I haven't spoken to them.

He continued:

"He will not go. I've said it many times that he will not go.

"We are going to keep all the players we have here for the season so he needs to get new boots - it's going to be expensive for him.

"Even if he says he is not signing a contract, he is going to stay anyway. It's not easy to replace Kris.

"The decision will not be taken out of my hands."

Lennon wants Commons, and it seems Commons wants Lennon. We know how this will end up. Celtic are just playing the game they have to play in order to save face with their fans as they start to plan for life without the 31 year old former Nottingham Forest and Derby County man.
