Player Ratings: Sheffield Wednesday v Bolton Wanderers

Having lost just one game since the start of November Neil Lennon’s side are brimming with confidence, but how did they rate against Sheffield Wednesday?

ANDY LONERGAN - 8

The 31 year old continued his run of fine form and put in a very solid display for the Whites. He punched well and made an outrageous save in the 96th minute as he tipped a ferocious drive from Calude Dielna onto the cross-bar.

MATT MILLS - 7

Defended well against a very physical Wednesday side, he was very solid and won virtually everything in the air.

DAVID WHEATER - 7

Wheater was similar to Mills regarding his aerial dominance. Despite this, he is unbelievably clumsy, especially in his penalty area, he can share the blame for giving away the penalty.

DORIAN DERVITE - 7

Huge improvement from last week's performance against Leeds United. Dervite coped well in tricky conditions and looked very solid within the back line.

TIM REAM - 7

Defended well although he didn't have a lot to do. It was also recognisable that he'd been requested to start moving higher up the pitch and this is something that the American excelled in. As ever he was comfortable in possession and offered a slight attacking threat.

JOSH VELA - 8

Playing in a more offensive role this week, Vela showed us once again why he is so highly rated at the club. The youngster made one crucial tackle in the build up to the Whites' first goal and remained solid throughout. For the second week in a row he received out ‘Man of the Match' award.

DARREN PRATLEY - 9

Another stellar performance from Pratley. He dominated the midfield and showed great composure to score Bolton's second goal as he cooly slotted it in past Kieren Westwood.

NEIL DANNS - 8

A dogged and passionate performance which has been typified by Danns recently during this season. He put in a hard shift and barely put a foot wrong during the game.

LIAM FEENEY - 7

Apart from a reckless and juvenile challenge in the box for Wednesday's penalty he was impressive. He was a constant threat going down the right wing and his crossing was brilliant.

EMILE HESKEY - 7

Was let down by his lack of pace and first touch, however he played an integral role in the Wanderers' win. The veteran forward dominated everything in the air and did well to get the knock-on for Pratley's goal.

CRAIG DAVIES - 7

As always Davies worked exceptionally hard however he's currently lacking the sharpness of a top striker. We can sympathise with the former Barnsley forward due to him recovering from a recent injury, however he had two glorious opportunities to seal the points for the Trotters however he let the chances go begging.

Subs: Gudjohnsen 90 (for Davies) - 6 - wasn't given enough time to make a real impact on the game.

Not used: Bogdan, Moxey, Spearing, Trotter, Wilkinson, Walker.
