Former Leeds United, Sheffield United and Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper, Paddy Kenny, has officially left the club today after Bolton Wanderers decided against renewing the 36-year-old's contract. The veteran keeper joined the club on a short-term contract earlier this season after Adam Bogdan sustained a serious injury, however he has officially been released by the football club today.

Kenny had a brief spell with league one side, Oldham Athletic, which saw him concede a whopping 7 goals in one game against MK Dons. Upon his return to the club he has been frozen out of the club's u21 side, as they have chosen to nurture the young goalkeeper, Ross Fitzsimmons, instead of using the former Bury goalkeeper.

It is rumoured that Kenny will sign a short-term deal with fellow championship side, Ipswich Town, as they look to add backup for Bartosz Białkowski and Dean Gerken.

Yesterday was a busy day of departures for Bolton Wanderers as another player was allowed to exit the club. As had been reported in the press for the last 2 days, Sierra Leone international Medo Kamara has left the club and joined Israeli side, Maccabi Haifa, on loan. Medo will now link up with the 12-time Israeli champions, who are paying for Kamara's full wage, for the remainder of the current campaign . It has been rumoured that they are planning to make their loan signing a permenant one at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old came to the club with a glowing reputation; However, he failed to live up to these standards and is consequently not involved in Neil Lennon's plans for the football club. Kamara made 57 appearances during his 2 year stint with the Wanderers which saw him net 3 goals along the way.

Despite Neil Lennon already stating how his Bolton side are 'crowded in midfield,' Kamara still nurtures hopes of returning to the Macron stadium. According to 'Football Sierra Leone' the midfielder was unwilling to leave the club and he aims to return and fight for his place.

In his first interview with his new employers, this is what Kamara reportedly said,

"I'm on loan here until June 2015, I am hoping to return to Bolton in the summer, I did not want to leave Bolton."

Despite this I can't envisage Kamara making another appearance for Wanderers.

Lastly, young defender Hayden White has been allowed to join league one side Notts County on loan. The 19-year-old has featured three times for the Trotters this season, as well as turning out for Carlisle and Bury in League Two during 2 previous loan spells. White follows Josh Vela's footsteps heading to Meadow Lane for a loan spell, as the midfielder spent the final stages of last season playing for Shaun Derry's side.

Yesterday 3 players officially left the football club, 1 on a permanent basis and 2 on season-long loans.

Perhaps these departures will pave the way for new arrivals?
