Liverpool v Bolton Wanderers: Predictions

It's a huge FA Cup fourth round match for Bolton Wanderers as they travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool. Will Neil Lennon pick a starting XI capable of the big upset?

There is injury news out of the Bolton Wanderers camp and it is not good.  Striker Craig Davies, who just returned to fitness, has reinsured his hamstring and will be out a further three weeks.  That means that the "experienced" duo of Eidur Gudjohnsen and Emile Heskey form Wanderers entire first team strike force.  Young Conor Wilkinson will be third banana, while even younger Zach Clough could feature depending upon his own hamstring.  This is my predicted starting XI:

Adam Bogdan

Kevin McNaughton Matt Mills Dorian Dervite Tim Ream

Liam Feeney Darren Pratley Josh Vela Neil Danns

Eidur Gudjohnsen

Emile Heskey

That's it.  A 4-4-1-1.  I suspect Neil Lennon will stay as close as possible to the normal starting XI, and I can't blame him.  Liverpool would be a huge FA Cup scalp, and a victory like that would give the entire club a huge lift going into the second half of the season.  And what the hell, I am going to predict that Bolton force their Premier League Opponents to visit Macron Stadium for a replay: 2-2
