Transfer Gossip: Liam Trotter to Nottingham Forest

News is breaking tonight that Bolton Wanderers' midfield outcast Liam Trotter is on the brink of joining fellow Championship side Nottingham Forest on loan.

Trotter will of course be rejoining former Bolton boss Dougie Freedman - the same Freedman who doesn't like signing players from his former club....cough Matt Mills cough.

The news broke thusly a short while ago:

Trotter, who last played for Wanderers in 2004, is well and truly out of the first team picture at the Reebok, and so this move to Forest has come out of the blue - but you would expect that we would make a move to use up the newly-freed wages sooner rather than later.

He joined the club in 2014, and has scored twice in 30 appearances.
