BBC Radio Nottingham is reporting that Liam Trotter is training with Nottingham Forest but the Football League has not yet confirmed the transfer.
Trotter who was signed from Millwall by full time demon and current Forest manager Dougie Freedman has always struggled to hold down a first team place at the Macron. Well more recently he has struggled to get near the first team picture let alone hold down a place.
Some amongst the Bolton fan base don’t want to see Trotter leave citing good performances for the under-21 and a reluctance to loan to another in the division.
Personally I don’t mind seeing him go. Right now it seems a bit like a particularly annoying cold, you think you have got rid of it but then you find out to your dismay you still have it... The sooner the deal can become official the sooner Lennon will have more money to bring in a new striker.
I am just hoping the deal is completed before Forest wise up and sack everyone’s least favourite Scot leading to the deal collapsing…
