Even at this stage, a must win game?

Well that was terrible. I mean just proper bad. The first of the two home games we want to get maximum points in went in expected fashion leaving all hopes pinned on something against Leeds United. The Yorkshire side have recently appointed Steve Evans (I assume just for the ‘bants’) and this will be his second game in charge.

Team News:

Bolton Wanderers

Wellington Silva is out for 10 weeks which means Wanderers front line poses the same amount of threat as cotton wool wrapped in bubble wrap. Luckily this means Neil Danns can retake his rightful position in the team. Clough remains out.

Leeds United

Ross Tunrbull remains out meaning Marco Silvestri will definitely start in goal. It’s unlikely we’ll see sweeping changes to the side that drew with Fulham given how little time Evans has been in the job.

Top Scorers

Bolton: Liam Feeney – 3

Leeds: Chris Wood - 5

Match Odds

Bolton 7/5

Draw 23/10

Leeds 15/8

One to watch

Chris Wood

The striker is Leeds’ top scorer and we’re awful. The frontman is a real danger from the air standing 6ft 3". Given that a team containing Wheater, Dervite, Derik, Pratley, Heskey and Madine couldn’t stop Paul Robinson at a set play against Birmingham, we might have trouble here.

Prediction

We’re in bad form, they’ve got the new manager bounce. Silva is out and we still have no one to oust Madine or Heskey. You can also grantee Feeney and Danns shall start (more for lack of options in Feeney’s case). Cannae score and can’t see a clean sheet. Leeds will nick a 1-0.
